The Wife (who has never night fished and never seen a fish over 8lbs) and I fished the small lake from 4pm Friday to 2pm Monday.
Now that Autumn is beginning to be felt the fishing at Trois Fontaine will go through an awesome lift as the Carp pack on weight in preparation for the Winter.
The longer nights and falling temperatures act as a trigger to Carp to make that frenetic final push to eat as much as they can and they approach their top weights as Autumn leads into Winter. Read the rest of this entry »

Although high oil pellets are banned at Trois Fontaine, the specialist Carp pellets are an excellent way of getting the fish eating in your swim.

One of the best features of both the main and small lake is the depth and variety of margin features which make it a great place for those who like to fish close in.

Main Lake is an old estate lake of classic looks, surrounded by trees with reed lined margins and a host of lilies at the Eastern end.
We will start our walk from the car park and move South across the dam for a good view up the lake.
Trois Fontain’s smaller lake is a manageable 2 acres and a great place to ensure you are on the fish if you are struggling on the Main Lake.
The view from the Main Lake dam lets you see all of the Small Lake which is shaped as a square surrounded by mature trees and nicly lined with reeds.
